Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) Review-Is it worth the price???

Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) is one of the first phones to rock four camera sensors at the back. But are they really worth all the hype? Lets take a look at it. Before we talk about the Samsung galaxy A9 (2018), let me tell you that this phone is sponsored by Tec Zone that's an electronic store which is a one stop solution to all your technology needs.

I love the all glass back design with the gradient colors but it picks up finger smudges very easily though the overall built is great. It has a 3.5mm audio jack , a USB type-C port and the speakers at the bottom. It has dual SIM support with a dedicated MicroSD card tray. The 6.3" Super AMOLED, FullHD+ screen is fantastic and is without a notch. Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) has a rear-mounted fingerprint reader. It comes in Caviar Black, Lemonade Blue and Bubblegum Pink color schemes.

Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) runs on Samsung Experience 9.0 over Android 8.0 Oreo. Let's start with the always on display feature that works and looks great on Super AMOLED displays. It's very useful and comes in a host of different layouts & clock options. The fingerprint unlocking is reliable & fast. We also get face unlock that works well too. There is support for themes to customize the UI looks.

Let's talk about the cameras. At the rear we have a quad-camera setup. We get a 24MP primary sensor with f/1.7 aperture. It also gets phase detection auto-focus. We have a second 8MP with f/2.4 aperture. This lens gets fixed focus and is a 12mm ultra wide sensor. The third is a 10MP sensor with f/2.4 aperture. This gets auto-focus and is a 2x optical zoom telephoto lens. The fourth is a 5MP sensor with f/2.2 aperture for depth sensing only. In the front we gets a 24MP selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture and fixed focus. The image quality in bright light is good though sometime is rather disappointing with lot of noise and softness in images. The lack of OIS results in bad low light shots as well. Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) can record videos in 4k resolution without EIS & 1080p with EIS. At this price point the lack of OIS really hurts. The detail levels in images from the ultra wide angle lens and the tele-photo lens is unimpressive.

Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) is powered by the Snapdragon 660 processor coupled with Adreno 512 GPU. This is a great processor that's powered most of the mid-range segment phones in 2018 though does not justifies its presence in such a pricey phone. Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) comes in just two variants 6GB/8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage with support for MicroSD card. The phone packs a 3,800 mAh battery with Samsung Adaptive Fast charging. This should give you a full day battery. The Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) sells for around Rs 34,000 for the 6GB variant and Rs 36,000 for the 8GB variant.I personally feel the phone is great but just does not justify its price.
