Motorola Edge 60 Neo Launched: Bigger Battery, IP69 Rating & Dimensity Powerhouse

Motorola has officially unveiled the Motorola Edge 60 Neo, expanding its popular Edge 60 series. Positioned as the successor to the Edge 50 Neo, the new smartphone offers significant upgrades in performance, battery life, and durability, while maintaining Motorola’s signature sleek design.

Power-Packed Performance

At its core, the Edge 60 Neo is powered by the 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 7400 chipset, delivering improved efficiency and stronger AI capabilities compared to its predecessor. Buyers can choose configurations with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, ensuring smooth multitasking and ample room for apps, photos, and media. Out of the box, the device runs Android 15, giving users the latest software experience with Motorola’s clean MyUX interface.

Brilliant OLED Display

On the front, the phone flaunts a 6.36-inch OLED LTPO display with Full HD+ resolution and a buttery-smooth 120Hz refresh rate. With HDR10+ certification and a peak brightness of 3,000 nits, the panel promises vivid colours, deep blacks, and excellent outdoor visibility. The display is further protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, offering better scratch and drop resistance.

Battery & Charging

The 5,000 mAh battery is a notable upgrade from last year’s model, promising longer endurance even for heavy users. Motorola complements this with 68W TurboPower wired charging and 15W wireless charging support, making it a reliable companion for on-the-go lifestyles.

Rugged Yet Lightweight

Durability takes centre stage with an IP68/IP69 water and dust resistance rating and MIL-STD-810H certification, making the Edge 60 Neo one of the most rugged smartphones in its class. Despite this toughness, the phone weighs only 174.5 grams and measures a slim 8.09mm, striking a fine balance between robustness and portability.

Triple Camera System

On the rear, the triple-camera setup remains unchanged but continues to impress:

  • 50 MP Sony Lytia 700C primary camera with OIS for sharp and stable shots.

  • 13 MP ultra-wide camera with a 120° field of view for landscapes and group photos.

  • 10 MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and OIS for crisp close-ups.

For selfies and video calls, the device houses a 32 MP front-facing camera with an f/2.4 aperture, ensuring high-resolution captures even in tricky lighting.

Connectivity & Audio

The Edge 60 Neo is packed with modern connectivity options, including Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and an in-display fingerprint scanner. Multimedia gets a boost with stereo speakers tuned with Dolby Atmos, delivering immersive sound for streaming and gaming.

Final Thoughts

The Motorola Edge 60 Neo combines sleek design, rugged build quality, and modern performance, making it a solid mid-premium contender. With its bigger battery, IP69 durability, and Android 15 experience, it stands out as one of the most practical smartphones of 2025 for users who demand both style and substance.
