Motorola's 2nd try with Android One...

Image
I have been a Motorola fan since the time it was owned by Google. From the Droid to the G-series we have witnessed some of the most brilliant Android smartphones by Motorola. We were very excited when Google decided to get the G-series to India. Later Motorola was acquired by Lenovo and we saw a lot of changes to Motorola devices. Today Motorola announced the Motorola One Power that runs on Android One. I personally feel that this is a very good move by Lenovo as this will ensure timely updates to Motorola devices. They should do the same with the G-series as they generate huge revenue for Lenovo. I have the Moto G5 Plus that's almost an year old. At that time we hardly had smartphones that delivered near stock Android experience. Surprisingly we still don't have the Oreo update. I wish Lenovo gets all Motorola phones into the Android One initiative soon. The Motorola One Power has everything that a smartphone should have in 2018. A large 6.2" IPS LCD display w

ANDROID GO VS ANDROID ONE VS STOCK ANDROID

Smartphones have come a long way these past few years. The relentless development of hardware has been matched with equal fervour on the software side. Today we do things we never imagined were possible on a smartphone, thanks in no small measure to the huge advancements made both in hardware and software. Android too has made this journey. From being a Open Source Program (still is) to now one of the world’s most used mobile operating systems, leaving in its wake other mobile operating systems like Windows Mobile, Palm, Blackberry etc., I still remember the first Android cell phone I purchased, a HTC G1 and since then I have avidly followed every flavours that android has had to offer. I can’t help it as the names are so tempting and believe me so were all the Android versions. Since android is an Open Source Program, there were a lot many devices and manufacturers to choose from and many Lollipops, Marshmallow’s, Nougats’, Oreo’s, Cupcake’s, Donut’s, Eclair’s later Google

#appleevent Apple Event 12th Sept 2108 10:30 PM IST (Apple Watch 4)

Image
For the first time ever, I followed the entire Apple event. The event started with the announcement of the Apple watch 4. This piece of tech really impressed me. I mean there is so much that the watch can do to make our life easy. The watch keeps you connected with phone calls, messages and notifications without the need to physically interact with your phone. You can now track sports updates, your boarding information and many more things. The Apple watch 4 is powered by a 64-bit dual core processor and has a 30% larger screen. It's like a bezel-less screen. The back of the watch is entirely made of black ceramic and Sapphire crystal. The speaker is also redesigned so it is 50% louder. It has GPS so it's going to be fun to track your workout sessions. Apple watch 4 also detects a fall and sends an SOS message with your location to your emergency contacts. Though Apple hopes that we never need this feature but it's good to have it on our watch. Health has

OnePlus 6 Unboxing

Hello everyone. I'm going to unbox the OnePlus 6 today. So, without any further do lets get started. I have the box here with the branding on the top. OnePlus 6 written on one side and The speed you need on the other . We have the specifications and the MRP (price) mentioned as well. Let's open the box now. We have the handset first. It's georgeous and the display is huge. I got the Midnight black varient as I loved the matte finish. I must say OnePlus has nailed it with the quality of the things in the box. Infact even the package is awesome. We get an instruction manual and some OnePlus stickers. There is a Sim ejector pin as well. We also get a silicon case for protection. Under all these we have the dash charger and the USB type-C cable. I got the 128GB varient which comes with 8GB RAM. Just to give you an insight. The OnePlus 6 comes with a Snapdragon 845 chipset with Adreno 630 GPU It has a 6.28" Optic AMOLED screen which is nothing less the

Are you waiting for the Google Pixel 3/3 XL?

Image
We still have a month before Google announce the Pixel 3 & the 3 XL and I am sure most of us who love the pure Android treat by Google are eagerly waiting for these phones to hit the store. The Pixel 2 & the 2 XL are still a great buy. While Pixel users are already enjoying the Android Pie update most users with others phones still have no clue when to expect the update. With the Pixel phones, Google has not only delivered great software experience but has also improved the hardware it offers. The biggest improvement was the camera that blew out the competition and if you have been following online reviews and comparisons, are lot of tech reviewers think that Pixel 2 & 2 XL still holds the top spot for camera. Google has indeed done a great work with their single camera lens. The portrait mode both in the rear and front camera produces some brilliant stills. With support for notch displays in Android Pie we are sure one of the Pixels this year will come w
